Here's how it works....
- Identify up to three audible alert levels for angle and vehicle speed combinations
- Mount and balance the Digital Inclinometer and secure a GPS lock
- Select ‘Start’ and drive the length of the corridor
- Data is saved in an .xls format, including Time, Speed, Angle, Heading, Lat and Long
- Create and export data for viewing in Google Earth with alert angles identified
Currently, the system is compatible with most Rieker, Inc. Digital Inclinometers and can be adapted for use with other BBI model.
Ten and Two - Curve Advisory Study is an affordable and efficient system to collect ball-bank data using a laptop, Digital Inclinometer and a simple GPS receiver. When the vehicle is moving, the driver only needs to listen for audible alerts, which eliminates the need for an extra person. A key feature of the software is the ability to 'alert' based on three unique speed and angle combinations, as permitted in the MUTCD.
